Kirsten Grove, D.C., DACBSP
Dr. Grove is the founder of Grove Spine & Sports Care and a 1995 Cum Laude graduate of Northwestern College of Chiropractic. Dr. Grove earned postgraduate degrees as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) and Diplomate in Sports Medicine (DACBSP). Dr. Grove has also been a certified provider for Active Release Techniques® since 1999. With over 14 years of experience as a practicing sports chiropractor, Dr. Grove has a broad range of training and expertise that includes nutrition, chiropractic, sports medicine, and rehabilitation.

Dr. Grove holds a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians (DACBSP®). This is the highest level of sports training a chiropractor can receive in the field and she is one of only 300 in the country and 27 female DACBSP’s overall.
Dr. Grove’s practice utilizes an integrated system approach which includes a variety of soft tissue techniques (ART, Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Methods, Trigger Point, Cross friction), sports performance/Gait Analysis Assessments (OPTOGAIT), exercise & rehab plans, sports taping and a variety of chiropractic techniques. Her mission is to serve (work with) people to achieve optimal health, perform better and obtain excellent recovery (results post) after injury. Dr. Grove’s practice is continually evolving as she integrates the most cutting-edge treatment available to fully optimize her patients’ recovery and restoration of health.
Dr. Grove has been involved in providing care for a variety of amateur to professional athletes, including but not limited to triathletes, runners, cyclists and tennis players. With over a decade of experience working with athletes of all levels, from recreational to elite/professional, Dr. Grove has provided on-site care for many professional and world-class events including the Ironman Triathlon World Championship Hawaii, Ironmans Florida/Canada/Coeur D’alene and numerous local triathlons & running events. More recently, she was selected by the U. S. Olympic Sports Medicine (committee) to serve at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA. During her time there, she worked the 2012 BMX Supercross World Cup event. She also worked with the Women’s Olympic Field Hockey team in their preparation for the London Olympics.
Dr. Grove is also a long-term sponsor and advocate for the local cycling team: Evolution Cycling. Professional memberships include; Virginia Chiropractic Association, American Chiropractic Association, ACA Chiropractic Sports Council, and the International Federation of Sports Chiropractic (FICS). She personally enjoys hiking, cycling, triathlons, and playing tennis.
